Firstly, there is a festival this
Friday which results in a national holiday and we didn't go to school. Then we
have no agenda either from campus or with buddies. I just stayed at the hotel
to work on the lesson plan. After quite tired of working on the lesson plan, my
friends (Yosi and Nurul) and I decided to go for a walk while buying souvenirs
for our friends in Indonesia.

we walked to the central mall,
past the museum, the square, session road, and the hero monument. Occasionally we were
confused by the path we were going because we were not sure but finally arrived
at the central mall.

when he arrived at the central mall, yosi bought ice cream
halo-halo then went around to look for souvenirs. Unfortunately in the central
mall there are no souvenirs that are quite interesting to buy.
The clock showed 4.20 PM, the
stomach began to make a strange noise finally we decided to eat at Jollibee.
Then we went home for a while to pray, and went to SM to buy some souvenirs,
Yosi and I decided to buy packaged glasses for the faculty and the
international office.

the excitement
on a holiday still continues. All exchange students from Indonesia are still
excited even though on Monday we will start teaching. Early in the morning
today I was up and praying at dawn with my roommates. At around 9.00 AM
Jasmine, one of the buddies came to our room, she helped take dirty clothes to
be sent to the laundry. Besides taking the laundry, Jasmine also told us that
today we would go out with her and Ate Kristine. Travel agenda go to the mosque,
try halal food in the city of Baguio with them.
At
01.00 PM our room bell rang, after checking jasmine and Ate Kristine had come
to pick up. We told them we would get ready for 5 minutes. We went out of each
hotel room and went together to the mosque. The mosque they mean is located not
far from where we live, the mosque is located in the middle of the fish market.
The reason why the mosque is located there is because there are many swords
that are Muslim. On the way to the mosque we met one of the lecturers who
taught at the UC campus, Ate Kristin and Jasmine introduced us all to her.

Shortly after
walking we arrived at the mosque, I immediately held praying Tahiyatul Masjid
two raka'at, finished praying our buddies invited to take pictures there as
documentation. In addition we also met Muslims who had finished praying Zuhur.
He lives not far from the mosque and is a merchant in that market area.

After visiting the mosque we should have gone for lunch, but we were
still not hungry and too excited explore the city of Baguio. Kristine asks,
where we want to go before lunch. We also told that we wanted to buy souvenirs
to take home. Although we know, this week is only our second week here but we
think during the third week we will be busy going to school to teach and make
reports.
Ate Kristine and Jasmine immediately invited us to
the typical Philippine souvenir market. In the market, I am very satisfied to
choose souvenirs. There are various types of souvenirs such as food, clothing,
key chains, trinkets, etc.

Surrounding the souvenir market
makes us tired and hungry. After all the souvenirs that we wanted enough we
went straight to the Halal food place referred to by our buddies. Where to eat
is located in a mall by providing a special menu of the Middle East, with the
name "KASUMIR BIRYANI CAFÉ". There are lot of visitors and the place
is crowded, so we waited a few minutes to be able to eat there. For the food
menu I ordered Chicken Briani and large bread dipped in a typical Middle
Eastern sauce. For the taste of the food, I like it because it is savory and
suitable. After eating we decided to go back to the hotel and rest.

This Sunday we
don't have much activity. Almost all of us were only in the hotel room to
prepare materials for teaching on Monday. I also began to teach Monday, which is
class 10 Mapagkakatiwalaan.

That day I went out with yosi and nurul to buy
food. In the middle of the trip we saw a lot of crowd and we just realized that
that day was Sunday. Car free day on the road session, the atmosphere is very crowded.
Many people who walk with family, friends, even many foreign tourists. In the
middle of the road someone was drawing, writing, carrying a dog, a special cat
enjoying the day.
