DAY 4 : FIRST OBSERVATION AT SCHOOL

Thursday, September 5 2019
That morning the weather was quite sunny in Baguio city because it was not raining or cloudy. At 6.30 AM we were ready to leave for UC grade school and junior high school. We left for school by taxi. Arriving at school, we headed to the teacher's office to meet with our mentor, ma'am Kimberly G Doligas. There we get direction from her and class division. Gilang and I were entrusted by her to teach grade 10 with critic teacher namely ma'am Annie Fe B. Leckias. She has taught in China for 3 years and now teaches at UC School. We talked with her about the procedures in teaching and everything that needed to be prepared for teaching. She told us she did not demand that we appear perfect, she only demanded that we perform as closely as possible and perform the best we could.

Before observation, we were given an assignment by Ma'am Annie to check the 10th grade children's quiz with three classes. After checking, we entered their scores into the scorebook provided by ma'am Annie. At 03.00-04.00 PM I made my first observation with my friend, Gilang. There we observed all the activities in the class.
Check student assignments
After finishing our observation, we went straight back to the hotel together with the buddies using a taxi. Mr.Remir asked us to go hotel early to meet with student exchange from Indonesia who visited UC for a holiday to Baguio, because Baguio is the center of tourist destinations and inexpensive souvenirs. We did not get to meet with them at the UC Campus, we only met them in front of the UC campus because they were in a hurry to go home because it was late afternoon. Their travel from their campus to Baguio took approximately 2 hours.
